Church of the Good Shepherd

The Episcopal Church in Rangeley, Maine

Worship

Please come and join us! Our worship is a sacred time for spiritual renewal as we hear the Word of God in Scripture and the sermon, and as we share the Eucharist together. All are welcome and we would be blessed with your presence.

Sunday Morning 7:30 a.m.: This is a simple recited service with no music. It uses Rite II from the Book of Common Prayer. It includes Scripture readings, Children’s Time, a sermon and Holy Communion.

Sunday Morning 9:30 a.m.: This service uses Rite II from the Book of Common Prayers. We sing hymns from either the Episcopal Hymnal of 1982 or other supplements that include contemporary music. We are blessed by organ and piano music provided by Music Leaders in the summer, and guitar music during other seasons of the year. This service includes Scripture readings, a sermon and Holy Communion.

Wednesday Morning 9:30 a.m.: This is a Healing Service during which we recite the names of all people on our prayer list. This service includes Scripture readings and Holy Communion. When the priest is not present, the service is Morning Prayer.

We also gather for worship on special days in the church calendar such as Christmas Eve, Holy Week and Easter. Some of these services include ecumenical worship opportunities. Please check our calendar for schedules.

Good Shepherd welcomes baptisms, marriages and funeral services under the direction of our Priest.

To learn more about the Episcopal Church and our worship, you are welcome to speak with our Priest, The Rev. Dr. Jennifer Reece by phone (207.952.2363) or by email (revdrjmr@gmail.com).
